Armed Forces Day Railfest 2011 at Klinger Middle School

On Saturday March 21, 2011 the Southampton Railroad Station Society organized a train meet at Klinger Middle School in Upper Southampton Township, which was themed "Armed Forces Day Railfest" to honor our nation's military.

S.R.R.S.S. member Regina Frey served as the official greeter and worked the admissions table
Children enjoyed the various operating layouts setup by model railroad enthusiasts from across the region
Organizations such as Keystone N Track operated various model railroad layouts to promote the hobby of model railroading.
Model railroad layouts varied from the small "N" scale layouts, to full scale "O" sized layouts as seen in this photo.

The event featured local vendors from across Bucks County such as Wrightstown's Craig Hackett who features many oil paintings of historic parts of Bucks County (including the Southampton Railroad Station).

Military historians and re-enactors setup a small display of military vehicles and donned authentic World War II U.S. military uniforms (rumor has it Gen. MacArthur made a cameo!)
Upper Southampton Township Public Works Department brought in reinforcements and displayed their newest utility vehicle
