Volunteer Opportunities
Restoration & Construction Committee
The restoration committee plans brick and mortar projects which includes the development of architectural drawings (performed by the Society's architect), development of bid proposals, project budgets, and solicitation of project bids. If you are interested in becoming active with this committee, please send an e-mail to volunteer@srrss.org.
Groundskeeping Committee
The Southampton Railroad Station Society Groundskeeping Committee meets on weekends and some weekday evenings. The Committee
focuses on maintaining the station grounds, such as removing litter from the parking lot, weeding, grass cutting and
identifying small maintenance issues on the exterior of the building. In addition, the Society recently started a small flower garden at the foot
of the parking lot, which needs watering and occasional care. If you are interested in joining us on any weekend,
please send an e-mail to volunteer@srrss.org to learn more, or be put on our listserve.
Grants & Fundraising Committee
The grants & fundraising committee plans fundraising events and seeks public and private funding sources. Activities include preparation of grant applications, contacting and meeting with potential donors, and coordinating event planning. If you are interested in becoming active with this committee, please send an e-mail to volunteer@srrss.org.
Membership Committee
The membership committee oversees communications with existing members and recruiting of new membership. The Society publishes a seasonal membership newsletter and maintains a roster of active members and renewal of membership dues. Adopt-A-Project
Want to take charge of a restoration item or project?

of the grounds. The Society welcomes new members who would like to take ownership of a specific component of the restoration or upkeep
of the site.
