Repainting of the Platform Light Stantions at Southampton Station - October 2011
In anticipation that electrical service will be restored to the station site by the end of 2011, SRRSS volunteers spent several weekends in October stripping, priming and repainting the platform lights. Upper Southampton's MAB/Sherwin Williams paint store donated 50% of the painting materials to the Society, and the SRRSS extends its thanks to Reed Sinkler and the MAB Paint family for their contribution.

Light heads are bagged to prevent excess paint from falling on the white fixtures, and to further protect the fixtures until they are ready to be returned to service. |
